After 15 mins of hike, you will reach the first stop to rest. Adjacent to it would be a big boulder, seems like, but an entrance to the cave. It has three levels open to public. Not only that you get to hike but you can also do some of spelunking. The temperature is way cooler inside. It is a dry cave, thus you hardly see some stalactites and stalagmites. Fruit Bats and "Balinsasayaw" nest this place.
After an hour hike up to the top, the spiky rock formation on the summit will greet you. Wearing gloves and footwear with thick soles can greatly be of help to anyone.

Fun fact 1: It is said that this is where Andres Bonifacio hid during the time he was hunted.
Fun fact 2: Locals speak mixed Bisaya, Hiligaynon and Kiniray-a. Origin of the people here are from Aklan
Fun fact 3: It's their custom to carry a machete. You would see each grown man belted on their hips.
Side trip:
Spelunking in Lubog Cave
Allot at least 15-30 minutes in exploring the cave.
Panintingan Falls
A water basin which is a 20 minutes walk from the jump off. This flowing water is a natural source of fresh water fish for the locals. They say it is 10 ft deep. If you hardly know how to swim, it is highly recommended to be at least within 2 meters from the land.
Daredevil enough? Try diving from the inclined tree.

DeleteHi Ms. Lee!
ReplyDeleteIf I intend to ride my own vehicle, can I bypass the Habal Habal ride?
I hope you get back to me. Please and thanks!
Paul
i wouldnt suggest of doing so since its a steep and spiral road road.
Deleteoff road motorcycle is also one of their mode of transpos there too. i dont think it is passable by 4 wheeled vehicles though
DeleteHi there, whould you have contact details of your guide? I might be alone in this trek hehe ☺ thanks and looking forward to your feedback ☺
ReplyDeletehello kendrick! the guide is being assigned by Kagawad Peter. contact him instead :)
DeleteThanks Lee for your immediate feedback. Last question, would it be possible to hire a cheaper habal-habal? Since I am going alone, 1k i think will be a little expensive for just one passenger. I am such a cheapo haha :D
DeleteYou're welcome. if you are alone, you may want to ride a motorcycle. there are a few you can rent. though i may not be able to give you a quote. try to contact Kagawad Peter, he may help you get a ride. The mode of transpo by the locals there is the motorcycle.

ReplyDeletehello. dun na po kayo sasakay ng trike, papasok sa eskenita.
DeleteHi ! Good evening. Meron pa po bang ibang contact dun bukod kay sir peter ? Hindi po kasi sya macontact. Thank you and God Bless.
ReplyDeleteAt tyaka what if dumeretso po kame dun without contacting Sir peter ? May masasakyan pa po bang tricycle ?
ReplyDeleteHi Marvin,
DeleteIm sorry but i dont have any contact other than Sir Peter. He is the only kagawad in the area who oversee the place. i am not sure if they allow walk in but there are hardly tricycle which transport passengers as it is too far from the main road. most of the locals their has their own motorcycle whch they use as their primary transpo. I dont recommend it though, but you can give it a shot if you want.
So recommended talaga na macontact si sir peter ? Hhhmm sige sige po. Marameng salamat po. By the way bago pala kayo maghike nacontact nyo ba si sir peter for the tric ?
DeleteYes. we did contacted him ahead of time. he was the one who also arranged for the tric
DeleteGod bless
